Meet the Founder: Lily Nguyen

Half a world away in Vietnam, Lily Nguyen sits at a small wooden table, hand-painting a tiny golden cross onto a single nail. It's late. The house is quiet. And as she works, she's praying — for the woman who will one day wear it.

That's how every set of My Oody nails begins. Not in a factory. In a moment of faith, made by hand.

What started as one woman's love for nail art has grown into something she never expected: a handmade press-on nail brand made for women who want their faith to show — beautifully, everywhere they go.

Our Story

My love for nail art began in my teenage years in Vietnam. I'd spend hours painting tiny designs, dreaming of turning something so small into something that could make a woman feel seen.

But the more I created, the more I felt something was missing. Press-on nails were everywhere — yet they were either mass-produced and lifeless, or beautiful but soulless. None of them said anything. None of them carried meaning.

I'm a woman of faith, and my faith is the most beautiful part of who I am. So I asked myself a simple question: what if your nails could carry it too? What if a cross, a lily, a stained-glass window like the ones in church could live right at your fingertips — handmade, wearable, and quietly powerful?

In 2023, I took the leap. Working late nights after my day job, I crafted my first faith-inspired collections by hand — painting each cross, curing each layer, shaping every nail until it felt like a tiny piece of art worth praying over.

The early days were hard. But every time a customer wrote to tell me she wore her My Oody nails to Easter service, to her daughter's baptism, to brunch with the women from her Bible study — and that someone asked her about them — I knew this was my calling. Not just to make pretty nails. To make beautiful little reminders of what she believes.

Today, My Oody ships to women across the United States and beyond. But no matter how much we grow, every set is still handcrafted with the same heart, faith, and care as the very first one.

What We Believe

Three things guide everything we make: faith, patience, and craftsmanship.

Handmade nail art can't be rushed — each set takes hours of careful work, painted and shaped entirely by hand. We use premium, non-toxic materials, design every set to be reusable, and inspect each nail before it ever reaches you.

We believe beauty and faith were never meant to be separate. A woman can be polished and prayerful. Confident and grounded in something greater than herself. My Oody exists for her.

Made for the Moments That Matter

Our nails were made for the days you want to feel a little more you — and a little closer to your faith.

Easter morning. A baptism. A confirmation. Sunday service. Mother's Day, when you want to give your mom something as meaningful as she is. Or just an ordinary Tuesday when you glance down and remember Who's with you.

Each collection — from our signature Stained Glass sets inspired by church windows, to crosses, lilies, and gentle faith motifs — is a wearable reminder of what you hold close.

The Art of Vietnamese Handcraft

Vietnam has a rich tradition of artisan craftsmanship — from lacquerware to embroidery to intricate hand-painting. That heritage of slow, meticulous, made-with-love artistry lives in everything we create.

Unlike mass-produced press-ons churned out by machines, every My Oody set is crafted by skilled hands. We hand-paint each design, sculpt the 3D details one by one, and carefully check every nail before it's packed in our gift-ready boxes.

"Our nails are tiny canvases. And on each one, I get to paint a little reminder of grace — something beautiful you can carry with you everywhere you go." — Lily Nguyen, Founder
